Care & essentials: common questions
Why water-based lubricant?+
Water-based formulas are safe with every material including silicone products, wash off easily, and rarely irritate sensitive skin. Silicone-based lasts longer but must not be used with silicone products, as it can degrade the surface over time.
Do I really need a dedicated cleaner?+
Mild unscented soap and warm water genuinely work well. A dedicated cleaning spray is more convenient — no rinsing required on non-porous materials — and travel-friendly, but it is a convenience, not a necessity. We say the same thing in our care guide.
