Privacy policy

In this category, privacy is not legal boilerplate — it is a core part of what you are buying. This policy is written to be read.

What we collect

• Order information: name, email, delivery address and order contents — the minimum needed to fulfil your order.
• Payment: processed entirely by our payment provider. We never see or store card numbers.
• Site analytics: aggregate, privacy-preserving page statistics only.
• Launch notifications: if you ask to be notified when a product becomes available, we store your email and that product only. You get one email when it launches, then the record is deleted. It is never added to any other list.

What we never do

• No purchase data is ever shared with advertising platforms — we do not run retargeting pixels, ad tags or social media trackers anywhere on this site, including checkout.
• No selling, renting or “sharing with partners” of any data.
• No marketing email unless you explicitly opt in, and every email has a working unsubscribe link.

Retention and your rights

Order records are kept as required by Australian tax law and then deleted. Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correction of it, or its deletion (where the law allows) — email hello@velaine.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
